May 10-14 Oklahoma Equestrian Trail Riders Association Cedar Lake workdays (not a full week). I am staying off the weekends, since there will be more campsites available during the week. Please use first-come sites only, as reserved postings are not always up when we arrive. Or make reservations online, but the NFS cannot waive the fee through the website. May 15 Bad Girls Movie & Music at Arrowhead State Park, Eufaula, OK. Join us for another Fun-Filled Movie and Music weekend at Arrowhead! Friday night after dark we will have an In-Camp movie on the large 10 x 10 inflatable Movie screen so don't forget to bring your camp chairs! Saturday morning will be a potluck brunch at 10:00 am followed by a great afternoon of trail riding! May 16 Annual Woolaroc Trail Ride, Woolaroc Ranch, Bartlesville, OK. The country retreat of oilman Frank Phillips - Woolaroc is hidden away in the beauty of the rolling Osage Hills. The trail ride covers approximately 15 miles of terrain that is rarely if ever, seen by the general public. Nothing would have pleased Mr. Phillips more than to have known that riders were enjoying his ranch doing something he loved to do... ride. It is common to see buffalo, elk, deer and longhorn cattle along the trails of Woolaroc. Arrival and check-in time 7 - 9 am. Riders must supply their own horse and gear. The ride begins promptly at 9:30 am. May 16 9th Annual-Ride to the Rescue Trainer's Challenge, hosted by Blaze’s Tribute Equine Rescue, Inc., Heart of Oklahoma Exposition Center in Shawnee, Oklahoma. This event will highlight Blaze’s rescued horses and wonderful trainers which will be competing in our trainer’s challenge. Trainers will have 134 days to train their rescue horse into a well-mannered riding partner.  Don’t miss this heartwarming event! Experience first-hand Blaze’s rescue horses overcoming life’s toughest challenges of abuse and neglect. Blaze’s Ride to the Rescue Trainer’s Challenge helps these rescue horses to defy the odds, to thrive and to succeed with a second chance in life. Horses once without hope, develop trusting relationships and transformed into loyal partners. Applications for adoptions will need to be submitted and the horses will be auctioned immediately following the competition. June 5-7 Oklahoma Equestrian Trail Riders Association National Trails Day Ride at Cedar Lake. We are moving the ride to Cedar Lake this year. Since we all missed getting to ride during the Fall, we have decided to make Cedar Lake our spring ride location instead of Robbers Cave. Make your reservations online through TravelOK.com

June 5-6 Lake Murray Trail Ride, Lake Murray State Park, Ardmore, OK. Hosted by Lone Grove Riding Club. Ride will be held at the stable/field trial area this year. 18 camp sites available at $22 to $24 per night. 8 have water and electric and 10 have electric only. 20 unimproved spots. Stalls are free. There are no reservations so it is first come first serve. There are bathrooms with showers available. Friday night will continue to be pot luck. Breakfasts and Saturday lunch on your own. Saturday supper will be provided. COST: by donation. You have to pay the park yourself for your spot. All proceeds will go to the club to cover costs of Saturday meal and supplies.
